Mount Parnassos is mostly famous fo the ski resort but a visit during the rest of the year will convince you that there a lot more on offer. Some of the worlds oldest footpaths ideal for walking or mountain biking, impressive caves and potholes, off road adventures, easy to access mountain tops and magical viewing points overlooking Greece. ACTIVITIES
New Parnasos ski center
Just a 20-minute drive from our guesthouse Parnassos ski center is the largest and best equipped ski center in Greece with 19 ski runs, 7 ski routes, 10 trails and three mini beginner runs, with a total length of 36km. At an elevation of 1,600-2,250m in the areas of Kelaria and Fterolakka, Parnassos Ski Center operates from December until the beginning of May.
Eptalofos
Only 20 minute from our guesthouse through a road filled with pine trees you will find Eptalofos. In the main squares with the huge trees you will find taverns, coffe places as well as the path to the waterfall. Walking around the village you can follow the river. Also in the winter time you will find the most snow!
Kroki - Parnassos view
After a long dirt road you will find Kroki, a spot with amazing view. The spot is right above the Delphi archaelogical site and you can see all the way to Peloponessse. The perfect place to watch the sunset. A few meters back you can find the start to the ancient path that starts from Liakoura, Parnassos highest peak, crosses Delphi and ends at the sea.
Corycian Cave
Corycian cave or as it is better known Pan's cave is at an altitude of 1.360 meters. You can reach it by a 4x4 or you can follow the path that leads you at the entrance. In the cave there have been found traces of neolithical life and the cave was dedicated to the god Pan and his nymphs. The length of the cave reaches a 100 meters and the view from the entrance is breathtaking as you can see all of Livadi valley from above.
